As the famous saying goes:
A ship is built to sail— to go away and discover the world— the same way we were built. Because unless we go out of our comfort zones, we can’t ever fulfill a destiny for us to experience the different kinds of adventure and bliss that are just waiting for us to step outside.
This is why we have the highest admiration for our students who made a courageous move to study English in the Philippines, which is away from their comfort zones… by doing so, they have proven how dedicated they are to learning and growing.
For that, we at Pines International Academy present them with assurance and different strategies and solutions on how they can optimize their success journey. We, through our website, impart encouragement and reminders in helping them cope with the challenges, especially when it comes to their physical and mental stability.
We have a clear idea and understanding of how challenging it is to study English and hone your communication skill since it requires a lot of training and battle against our thoughts… and so in this blog post, we will be sharing 3 ways how to take care of your mental health while reaching for your goal.

1. STOP OBSESSING OVER YOUR FAILURES AND THE IDEA OF PERFECTION IN ONE GO.
Right? Like when we are learning a new language, we tend to get lost in grammar, pronunciation, and many other rules associated with how and when to say it— a never-ending cycle of instances when you study English. Instead of focusing on our frustrations and setting our minds to be perfect, we should rather practice patience and be at peace with our effort because again, it is not that easy.
Fortunately, here at Pines International Academy, we have the best and most professional English teachers who are compassionate enough and very much willing to guide students through challenges and hardships… that’s why whenever we are asked what is the best asset of our Academy, we always answer, with great pride, that it is our teachers because we are confident that we provide exceptional training for them. We upskill our English teachers so they can carry out their duty to the best of their brilliance and expertise. Also, the other reason for this is so when they present themselves to our students, they can stand as role models who execute beyond their aptitude.
And remember, while you upswing your passion to study English, be more compassionate to yourself when setting goals ahead of us, and try breaking down your visions into manageable goals. You can also try this trick: concentrate on your influence and be in control of your behavior… because progress takes months, even years to fully develop skills, so while you’re on different pieces of training and developmental programs, just do your best and keep a good attitude and mindset— if every day you keep getting better, you end up being the best.

2. LOOK BACK ONLY TO LEARN; DON’T LET THE DISTRACTIONS LIVE IN YOUR MIND RENT-FREE.
Grab every chance you can get to learn, improve and grow from your mistakes or shortcomings while you study English… try to get something out of them, instead of reliving them over and over again. Focusing on the bad things is the easiest of all the ways to torture your mind and instantly kill your dreams.
However, it is fortunate that through our excellent curriculum, our students can always recover from setbacks, with a better understanding of the lessons and topics… because at Pines International Academy, we don’t just support their goal to study English, we also introduce ways to construct a more advantageous perspective which they can use for the betterment of their experience and stay with us.
With the trust our students have given to us, by choosing Pines International Academy— the best school to study English in Baguio City, we want to return the favor by making them properly equipped with knowledge on how to deal with anything from their thoughts to their surroundings. In that way, they may save themselves from irrelevant distractions and even potential destruction, which is the result of looking back at the wrong times.
As we are likely to make mistake after mistake, it is important to establish a boundary and limitation to how far should we allow ourselves to be affected by the things we see in our past choices… keep in mind that those mistakes are just an exercise to improve for a better tomorrow, and not an excuse to compromise your present— study English with this mentality and see how far perseverance can take you. You’ll be surprised where you’ll end up when you look back and learn.

3. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY, IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOU’RE AT YOUR LOWEST, REST.
Whenever I see this quote, I can clearly remember the day when my mother told me this: “Whenever you feel like you need to do more, remind yourself not to overdo it. Because feelings lie, they can mean something else— like doing more oftentimes denotes taking a break”. And I have proven a lot of times that resting is as necessary as accomplishing something. This is such a relatable observation because even if we prepare a timeline of the things that needed to be done, we can, at one point, feel drained especially if it involves our physical and mental strength.
But as luck would have it when you study English at Pines International Academy, you can always rest and recharge whenever your body feels like the need to because it is situated near places where you can relish everything that Baguio City has to offer— you can always go out and have fun from trying different types of indoor and outdoor adventures to visiting umpteen places for an assuaging gastronomical experience.
Taking a break is the most effective and proper way to take care of ourselves— our body, mind, and soul. While fulfilling, one must know that wanting to study English isn’t a walk in the park. It is humorously a mixture of losing your mind and chilling at the same… because stress is real, and so are anxiety and burnout. So rest if you want to because, with it, you can experience a shift in paradigm for you to be better and do better.
