Studying English in the Philippines is elevated on a new level as a number of Korean students from Chonbuk National University experienced the 4-week English as a Foreign Language course of Pines International Academy. The group is known as the Blue Ladder and is sponsored by the Korean Ministry of Education, Korea Student Aid Foundation (KOSAF) and Chonbuk National University to learn English and conduct a major community service project in Baguio City
- The Chonbuk University Blue Ladder Team held their major outreach program at Ambiong Elementary School
- The students went to several Baguio tourist spots like Botanical Garden, and on their last week; they have gone to Hundred Islands.
The 4-week stay of the students is a combination of attending English Classes, traveling to experience the local culture of Baguio City and conducting a major community service. The students went to Ambiong Elementary School and installed tiles on the classroom floors. They have also donated school supplies and spent time with the kids by making artworks and playing with them.
The Korean students had the time to learn more about Baguio City through the city tour conducted by Pines International Academy. On their last week, they have visited one of the best tourist spots in the Philippines the Hundred Islands.

In four weeks, the Blue Ladder students did not only earn new experiences; they have also set a space for Filipinos in their hearts as they value what they have learned from their English teachers, immersed themselves into local living and above all did something for a cause, which is to provide better learning experience for the Ambiong Elementary School Pupils.
